National Association of Toastmasters Member
Fellow. President 2007/8
Mike Jacobs has been a professional toastmaster for almost 20 years and joined The National Association of Toastmasters by examination in 1994. His knowledge of protocol was such that he was one of the few candidates to be received into the Association as a full member, without the prerequisite of Associate membership.
He has always taken an active role in the Association and has been a member of its Executive Committee continuously for the past 5 years. He was elevated to Fellow of the Association in 2003 and elected as 2nd Vice President in 2005. He is now proud to be following in the footsteps of his illustious predecessors in holding the office of President for the current year.
Mike has a huge breadth of knowledge of the toastmastering profession and has covered the full spectrum of engagements: everything from royal occasions, corporate and professional events, private functions and wedding receptions for a variety of nationalities and cultures. He has officiated at events in most of the great and iconic hotels in London, the National Exhibition Centre, and other presigious venues actross the UK and Europe. His debut in the USA was only precluded by a conflicting engagement.
Mike's personality and good humour, together with his infectious enthusiasm, has made him a popular and sought after toastmaster who has the knack of putting his client at ease, whether it be be the mother of the bride or the organiser of a presigious corporate, civic or professional event.
