About the Toastmaster

David Thomson, having passed all the necessary examinations became a member of the National Association of Toastmasters in 1991, having been trained in all aspects of toastmastering, from the grandest royal or civic occasion to the smallest, but equally important private wedding anniversary celebration.

David has worked in many of the top venues in the South, including the Bournemouth International Centre, the Brighton Centre, The Riviera Centre Torquay, The Brighton Grand and Metropole hotels, the Royal Bath, Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott hotels, amongst others and in London The Hyde Park Hotel, The Royal Lancaster and Park Lane Hilton Hotels.

David has for some years been the principal toastmaster at the presigious four star Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest and indeed during 2006 officiated at over 40 of their weddings.

Over the years David has officiated at many important functions mostly in the South with many VIPs including functions for the Labour and Conservative parties and many conference dinners at The Bournemouth International Centre and also at The Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.

David has officiated at over 500 Masonic Ladies Festivals over the years as well as many weddings of differing faiths, civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, Rotary, Round Table, official openings and fashion shows.
